Our new Power Promise Program will help deliver direct, energy-related benefits to leave a lasting legacy for communities near our future renewable energy projects.

About the Power Promise Program

The program is designed to be flexible and community driven. If you live near one of our future renewable energy projects, we want to work with you to find out whether you’re interested in the program and what type of benefits might be possible for your area.

This could include:

  • electricity bill bonuses
  • subsidised rooftop solar
  • home batteries
  • energy efficiency upgrades
  • improved reliability
  • opportunities for community co-investment.

Right now, the program is only available to those near Stage 1 of the Clarke Creek Wind Farm.

Is it guaranteed for every community?

Not necessarily. The Power Promise Program is optional and flexible. We’ll work with interested communities to explore what benefits are a priority to them. What’s offered may also vary depending on project size, location, available funding and regulatory requirements.

How are benefits decided?

We’ll consult with communities interested in the program to understand their preferences. We’ll also need to consider cost, technical feasibility and government rules when considering what’s possible.

What if our community wants something different?

That’s ok. The Power Promise Program is just one option. We’ll continue to deliver broader community investment initiatives for our projects in consultation with communities- such as infrastructure upgrades (e.g. telecommunications, roads), housing initiatives, sponsorships, community benefit funds and agreements with local Councils.

Clarke Creek Wind Farm Bill Bonus

We’re proud to partner with Reswitch to launch the first initiative under the Power Promise Program: a two-year bill bonus pilot at Stage 1 of Clarke Creek Wind Farm.

Homes and businesses located within 20km of Stage 1 of the Clarke Creek Wind Farm may be eligible to receive a $1,000 yearly electricity bill credit under the pilot.
