Following collaboration with Dubbo Regional Council (DRC), the terms for a draft Planning Agreement for Spicers Creek Wind Farm have been agreed and endorsed by the Council.

The community now has the opportunity to provide feedback to Council on the draft Planning Agreement which is on public exhibition until 24 July 2023.

The draft agreement is in line with DRC’s Renewable Energy Benefit Framework, which involves contributing 1.5% of the Capital Investment Value of the project.

The agreement would see annual funding, from the start of construction, for local projects in the area such as infrastructure projects, including local roads, and projects that will benefit the community.

Spicers Creek Wind Farm spans the local government areas of Dubbo and Warrumbungle. Discussions are also ongoing with Warrumbungle Shire Council on a Planning Agreement.
