Murra Warra II Wind Farm

Murra Warra II Wind Farm is located in North Western Victoria, 25km north of Horsham. The wind project has a capacity of 209MW and is comprised of 38 turbines. Murra Warra II Wind Farm generates enough electricity to power more than 175,000 homes and prevent around 640,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Community programs and initiatives backed by Squadron Energy have been featured in the Best Practice Charter Report, highlighting the company’s commitment to community engagement and sustainability. Key initiatives include funding Disaster Relief Australia’s Big Map for emergency planning, delivering a First Nations training program in Wellington, leading research on bat collision risks at wind farms, and partnering with Dubbo Regional Council on an advanced wastewater treatment facility.

Squadron Energy in the Community

Murra Warra II Wind Farm is committed to supporting the local community through its Sustainable Community Grant Fund, supporting local community projects. The MWWF Sustainable Community Grant Fund is made up of the Murra Warra Wind Farm Stage 1 and Stage 2 projects, with a total of $99,000 committed to the Fund each year.

The Fund promotes social and environmental sustainability initiatives through supporting educational, environmental, and community-based projects that are consistent with the principles of sustainable development.
