Squadron Energy is inviting the community to provide feedback on Stage Two of Clarke Creek Wind Farm.

The project is in the advanced planning stage and consists of up to 88 wind turbines. We are increasing the generation capacity of the project from 542MW to 704MW, made possible by upgrading the size of the wind turbines. This means the layout will be revised with a reduction in the project's footprint.

Stage Two of Clarke Creek Wind Farm is expected to produce enough electricity to power around 390,000 homes and avoid 542,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.

Squadron Energy’s General Manager of Development, Alastair Smith said that while the project is in its advanced planning stage, community input is still a key focus.

“The local community remains at the heart of everything we do,” Mr Smith said.

“We’re dedicated to engaging with residents, working together to shape a project that reflects shared priorities.”

“We’ll be holding community drop-in sessions and encourage anyone interested to come along, learn more about the project, and share their thoughts with our team.”

“This project is firmly focused on creating long-term value for the region, strengthening the local economy, generating employment, supporting local initiatives, and building a legacy.”

The community drop-in sessions are being held on Tuesday 5 August from 2pm to 7pm at Clarke Creek Community Hall, May Downs Road, and Wednesday 6 August from 8am to 11am at Lotus Creek Homestead, 12287 Marlborough Sarina Road, Lotus Creek.

Squadron Energy is Australia’s leading renewable energy company that develops, operates and owns renewable energy assets in Australia.
