Squadron Energy is inviting the community to provide feedback on a proposed wind farm near Adjungbilly, on Wiradjuri Country, around 30km north-east of Tumut, NSW.
The proposed Saddletop Wind Farm is in the initial stage of community consultation and planning and consists of around 123 wind turbines and battery storage.
Squadron Energy’s General Manager of Development Alastair Smith said the project was at a very early stage of planning with a priority for community feedback and input.
“The community is our number one priority, and we want to ensure we are engaging with locals as early as possible so that we can work with them to progress this project,” Mr Smith said.
“We are hosting a community drop-in session and would encourage interested community members to attend, to understand more about the proposed project and to provide feedback to the team.
“This project will be investing in community benefits for the region, which will strengthen the local economy, create jobs, support essential community programs, and leave a legacy into the future.”
The community drop-in session is being held on Tuesday 27 May from 2pm to 7pm at the Adjungbilly Hall at Bongongo Public School, Adjungbilly Drive, Adjungbilly.
